As a little girl, I loved the idea behind fairy princess, and princes, wizards and warriors, and devoured every fairy tale I could get my hands on. So when I discovered this paper I bought it immediatly without knowing what I was going to do with it. The opportunity finally came up when my niece Alex turned 5.
Materials:Paper is my prince from the fairy tale series by recollections, ally's wonderland by sei, letters are cut out by my handy dandy Cricut. (Provocraft)
I love doing kids cards, they are so much fun, and this one really took me back to my own childhood. So much fun! And now for a section I haven't done for a while...
Cat Corner
Yes, Stilts and Felix are as helpful as always!! After I set up my new craft table, they realized they now had easier access to me as I work.
"Can I help?" - Stilts

This Challenge was to fold the paper in a Tri-Fold, something I have never done before. Here is the example they gave.
It was fun to try, but probably not a technique I will continue to use. IT takes a lot of time.

Good morning all! I hope you guys are having a happy Wednesday! This card is 365 Cards Challenge number 96.
Have a great day, and keep crafting!
A typical morning at our house!
The challenge for Day 71 was a blast!! Here is the sketch.
The card was inspired by the person I made it for (can't say who until after her birthday) who loves green. I went through all the old paper I had, and finally came up with this paper called Celebrate "Family" plaid, by Confetti. I then pulled out my handy-dandy-Cricut and made these presents (which are adorable!! ) using the _ cartridge. The final touch is the happy birthday stamp by Stampendous, which is seriously cute.
Here is the final product!!
Have a great day and keep crafting! (Amendment: Since her birthday has now passed, I can safely say that the card is for my sister, Anna, who is a great supporter of this blog. Thanks sis, and Happy Birthday!)I actually took the sketch and flipped it around. It worked better for this paper. Here it is!
The paper is by BoBunny. The Love is spelt out in scrabble tiles that I picked up at a second hand store. The ribbon was a gift from another etsy artist. The newsprint flower is by Recollections and the strips are cut out from the same dictionary that I used in the last card. Had a lot of fun doing this one.
Have a great day, and keep crafting!
I thought I would usse a more modern take on our beloved Rosie though. Todays women express our independence and strenth in many different ways, whether it's through tattoos (which are still thought of as a guy thing) piercings, or taking the traditional "girlie" pink, and adding skulls and black to it.
I was super excited to find this vellum quote (by DCVW), that went perfectly with my idea. :) The paper is by and the stamp is actually a halloween stamp by Indadinkado.
Today, the day before mothers day, I'd like to salute all women out there, who do any little thing to celebrate their own indapendence, and strength.
Have a great day ladies, and keep crafting.
Yesterdays challenge was to make a card based off the royal wedding. Anybody else wish they were princess? I did. ;) anyway, here it is, for the couple who has no ordinary love.
The paper is by BoBunny, the key is Jim Holtz, and the vellum is by DCWV. I kept this kind of simple on purpose, inspired by the simplicity of Pippas dress. It was gorgeous enogugh to be a brides dress! Have a great day and keep crafting!I've been getting a little swamped trying to catch up with all the cards I missed. I decided instead to take the route I did when I started this challenge, and post each days challenge as they come, and do the catch-up cards when I have extra time. So, on that note: here is todays challenge! Ok, well its actually yesterdays challenge, but todays wasn't posted yet when I sat to this. This challenge was to somehow use a mythical creature. I bought a dictionary recently that had been published in the 40's. I finally got to use it! I found several pages that had creatures that I thought would be cool, but when I found the unicorn one I got really excited. The picture was too perfect! The printed ribbon on the side is made by Jim Holtz and the believe quote is a sticker made by dcwv. I was very happy with this card!
(Foot note- 5/9/11) This was also Mothers Day card for my mom, who loved unicorns while we were growing up, and who fueled my belief in faieries, trollls, goblins, Santa Claus, unicorns, princesses, and happily ever after. Thanks Mom!
This card is actually tiny. It was fun to work with a different size for once. Both of these used flowers by Colorbok. The sticker on #2 is also by colorbok. The stamp on #1 is from Stampendous.
That's it for now. Stay tuned for more catch-up cards!
Have a great day and keep crafting!
Such a blast!! Felix curled up, and posed so perfectly!!!
Have a great day and keep crafting!!
