Baby Cards

Hi all!! Sorry for the break, but I have been having technical difficulties. :-) Even now I'm posting from my phone, and I probably will be for a while, so if you all can bear with me while I muddle through this I would greatly appreciate it. Yesterday and today I finally got back to my cards, and had a marathon card making session. It felt so nice. I seriously sat down with 6 hours of Star Trek and went nuts. Dishes weren't touched, and neither was the laundry, dusting, filing or any other chore I had planned, but boy am I happy. And I had time to paint my nails with my daughter! It'll be a while before photos and everything are ready though, so today I thought I would give you all a sneak peak at what will soon be listed on etsy. These two were inspired by the RIDICULOUS amount of friends who announced pregnancies these last two months. I think I'm up to 6 pregos, two of whom are having twins. Its going to be baby shower paradise. Always good times. :-)

Have a great day, and keep crafting!

Super Sketchy Sunday-Romance

Hello and happy belated Mother's Day to you all!! I hope all you moms had a great day, were really spoiled, and today are feeling refreshed an ready to go. :) May is a busy month for me. There are a couple of birthdays, and anniversaries, not to mention the boat-load of Mother's Day cards, so you'll get lots of cards in those themes as the month continues. I may not say who they're for though, as some of these recepiants read my blog, and I would hate for them to know what they are getting. (I'm talking to you sis.) Sunday's challenge was a super sketch. I was excited because I used several of my favorite mediums and tools to create this, and had a grand time doing it. So, let's start off with the picture! I used a couple different patterned papers by BoBunny. It took a couple tries to get the triangle the right size, but it worked! I used a Vellum definition by DCVW, and some old ribbon I've had lying around the house for ages. The heart is another page from my dictionary. I used the Cricut to get the shape, and then my sponge that I normally use for distressing and regular black ink to darken the heart so it stands out against pattern. Have a great day, and keep crafting!

Sick sick sick.

I had a wonderful weekend in tahoe, only to come home with a horrible cold. It seriously knocked me on my butt for pretty much the whole week. Today I'm feeling better, but still not really moving along. I hopefully will post todays challenge later, but for now I figured I would post a couple of my "catch-up" cards.
This was a white space challenge. (Going all the way back to day 1.) Here is the picture they gave.
The black space is where you put your design, the white you leave blank. Here is the card I came up with.

I may add some distressing later before I post it. I'm not sure yet. The flowers are Boutique Fleur by Recollections. The blank card is also Recollections. The tissue tape is by Jim Holtz. The key by K&Company. The hello stamp is by Stampendous.

That's it for now! Have a great day, and keep crafting!

Day 16 - Felix Warhol

Todays challenge took a little more thought then normal. The challenge was to take a piece of abstract art, and use it to make your card. The challenger (Kim from 365) made a beautiful butterfly card based on a Warhol painting. I decided to use another Warhol painting, taking my inspiration from this famous piece.
I took what is currently one of my favorite pictures of Felix:
and cropped it down to this.
The I edited on my handy dandy phone, changing the color and turning it into a comic drawing. Then I cut out the pictures and put them on a card I also made myself. This is the first card I have made using the computer, and I have to say it was a lot of fun. I may be doing more like these in the future. :)

Have a great day, and keep crafting!
